Tony Physentzou
Tony PhysentzouPresident

Tony Physentzou's career began over 40 years ago, working for a stage lighting company, Strand Canada. He worked there for many years servicing and installing lighting equipment and electrical distribution. Tony then left Strand to work at Canadian Staging Projects, where he furthered his knowledge of lighting to include dimming and control systems. Always one step ahead, Tony made a bold move by partnering up with a coworker and opening Sapphire Staging Limited. Here they incorporated their knowledge of stage lighting to include full stage rigging and drapery systems. Tony's early years included complete installations in all the major Canadian TV stations, such as CBC, CFTO, and Global TV. After more than 10 years of business success, Tony and his partner decided to move in different directions. Tony then began a small, one man installation company, which is now known as Ontario Staging Limited.

Ward LeGrow
Ward LeGrowRigging Department Manger

Ward LeGrow began in this industry as a small child in his father's staging shop, playing with the things that would become familiar in later years. By the time he was 20, Ward was involved in rigging installations - from a Ryerson TV studio to a full counter-weight system at St. Michael's College School. During his school years Ward was the lead singer in a touring rock band and when not playing he found himself doing the sound and lighting for other bands' live performances. In the late 80's, Ward left for the U.S, and spent many years rounding out his experience in manufacturing, computers, and networking. In his spare time he continued to work in sound and lighting, for bands and venues that needed his help. A few years later, and in a turn of coincidental events, Ward began working at Ontario Staging Limited; a company which was started by purchasing his father's old business. So you could say, "Ward's truly come home". After several years as an installer, Ward is now the Rigging Department Manger. His list of project credits include: Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, Panasonic Theatre, Young Centre for the Performing Arts, Sportsnet Studio, Mediveal Times, the CBC Glenn Gould Studio and Corus Quay.
